Client approval

Social media approval without client logins

You send one link. Your client sees each post the way it will look on Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook, and answers it: approve, or request changes with a note. The answer lands in your notifications and moves the post. Nobody makes an account.

What your client sees

  • The post, not a screenshot of it. Each platform gets its own preview with its own caption and post type, so a carousel looks like a carousel and a reel looks like a reel.
  • Two buttons per post. Approve, or request changes and say what. They can also approve everything that's left in one go.
  • Undo. Tapping the answer they already gave takes it back. There's no account on that page and no support queue, so changing their mind has to be something they can do themselves.
  • No login. The link carries its own access. You can switch it off whenever you like.

What you get back

  • A record, not a vibe. Each answer is stored with who gave it, which verdict, and when, for example “Approved · Priya · Tue 9:41”. When a client later says they never approved something, you can point to the record.
  • The note goes where the work is. A change request arrives as a notification with the client's note attached, and opens on that post.
  • Nothing slips out by mistake. One “change this” marks the whole review as changes requested, so a batch with an open question doesn't get published.

When a post changes after it was approved

If you edit something the client saw (the caption, the media, the platforms) after they approved it, their approval is marked out of date and the post goes back for approval. Their yes covers the version they actually looked at, not one they didn't see.

Internal sign-off, client sign-off, or both

Some agencies want a manager to check everything before the client sees it. Some let the client be the only gate. SaySo has both approval steps, and you switch either on or off in the Approvals tab.

Reminders only about what's still waiting

A review link can be emailed to up to five people on the client side. After that, SaySo reminds them only about posts nobody has answered yet, as those posts' dates get close:

  • no more than three reminders a week, and never two within 20 hours;
  • only between 09:00 and 19:00 in the post's own time zone;
  • never within 12 hours of the client answering or commenting;
  • and once everything has an answer, no email goes out at all.

After the yes

Approved posts sit on the calendar at their scheduled time. Publishing straight to Facebook Pages and their linked Instagram accounts is built and running, and opens to every agency once Meta finishes reviewing the app. LinkedIn, X, Threads and Pinterest posts are planned and approved in SaySo, then posted by hand for now. We'd rather say that than imply otherwise.

Who this is for

Agencies and freelancers who run social media for clients, and who spend too much of their week collecting approvals from email threads, WhatsApp messages and comments on a shared doc. If your clients already approve inside a tool they like, you probably don't need this. If you're still pasting screenshots into email, you do.
